That may be entirely possible.

AJ is absolutely elite. He had one bad half. That doesnt change anything, especially since he drove the ball down the field like a boss and lead us to a last minute win.

The "AJ for Heisman" talk certainly seems to have taken a turn for the worse. He's not an elite QB.

After this weekend you'll be calling your Heisman contender Johnny "frick it!" Football.

Do you guys still think your team is Gods gift to football? They are certainly not as advertised in my opinion. Not a flame, I was just surprised at how well this LSU team matched up. Maybe I wasn't giving our team enough credit though.

I think your assessment doesn't give LSU enough credit. #1 vs. #5 with #5 having an extra week to prepare...Why shouldn't the contest have gone down to the wire? I've seen a lot of LSU fans on here trying to discredit the win for Bama by talking down their own team, can't say I really get it.

And yet he still managed to drive the field against an elite defense in the final minute of the game. He may not be elite, but he is great. And that's more than we need him to be.

A few of the more radical ones probably still think we haven't played anyone.

I don't think you were giving your team enough credit. I had them as the best group returning, IF they found a balanced O. They did last night.

It was a good game and you have a very good football team. I was just wondering if it changed the majority of the fan bases perspective. In my opinion it should have.

You are in a minority with that thought, but who would have guessed that. Who is next on the "and it's not even close" train to face Bama?

I have quite a few posts indicating what I expected before the game, so no - my opinion going in was that we would be in a dogfight, and while I can't say I expected exactly the way in played out, that's certainly how I would describe it.

LSU had a 22 game home winning streak. No one was beating them in Death Valley. We did.

And I think all of the comparisons to last year's defense are done. This one isn't in the same galaxy.

Oh...the same defense that gave up 300+ to Georgia Southern?

Defense had a bad game...it happens...takes nothing away from how good they have been this year.

Nice moral victory. By the way, in 2009, Alabama needed a blocked FG to beat Tennessee and a last second drive to beat Auburn. We won a national title.

Yes.

We won on the road in the SEC against a good opponent that had obviously game planned for this one game for an entire year.

Our QB was injured in last weeks game and didn't practice all week. His timing was off but he got into enough of a rythm to pull it out.

Great win for our team, we took LSU's best shot and survived.
