The Board of Trustees are slated to meet this week. They will be assessing the school's leadership among other things. Several reliable guys on other boards LWS @ VQ, CardinalVol @ 8thMaxim, etc. have indicated that Cheek is a Dead Man Walking.
Hubbs said today that Gruden has been concerned about the "academic issues"......which if you read through the tea leaves, it looks like Hart or someone on his behalf is feeding Hubbs ammunition against Cheek.

I hope he is gone. Although my dad is on the Chancellor's advisory board and he told me that he has never heard Cheek say that he doesn't fully support the AD. IDK though, my dad will definitely be asking him some difficult questions at their meeting this week.

Yeah I made sure to tell him to ask him about what's going on with the coaching search. My dad is just as passionate about UT as me and is also a donor so he can ask Cheek the hard questions.

Don't really see why people are turning against Cheek. His raising of academic standards is not what is keeping us from being competitive.
I think he has a right to be concerned about a UTAD that's bleeding money and running an unsustainable budget. I really, strongly doubt he's intervening in the AD. But if he is, and that's highly speculative, then Hart needs to show him the money figures because a hire like Gruden is the only thing that will get the football program going. And this school is dependent on a successful football program. But as far as using academic standards, that's crap. Aren't we still taking people turned down by Florida's?

That's basically what my dad has said to me. Cheek has been nothing but supportive of the AD in their meetings. However, my dad and I both think that he is concerned about the money of firing Dooley and spending even more on a new staff. If he doesn't understand that football is the life-blood of this university then he needs to be shown the door.
