Neither Ole Miss nor Rebels will be dropped. You can find people who were okay with From Dixie With love being taken away because of TSWRA and you can find people who are okay with replacing Col.Reb with Rebel Black Bear. I supported both changes... but the University is Ole Miss and her sports teams are the Rebels and always will be. You couldn't find a handful of Ole Miss fans who would disagree.

I'm so tired of people that have never been to Mississippi or Ole Miss trying to dictate what we should do. If you don't understand the traditions and don't have first hand experience of the culture and what everything means to the people that call it home stop trying to tell me what "Ole Miss" and "Rebels" should mean to me. Neither of these phrases have racist connotations in my mind.
