Seriously bro? Fort Sumter. Google it.
Lincoln couldn't "declare war" because that would be the North showing legitimacy to the South's succession. Instead, he called it a "rebellion" and sent in the troops.

Then, Ft. Sumter happened.

Google it.

Ft. Sumter was entirely manipulated to give the Feds an "excuse" to gain support for an invasion of the Southern states.

Which I might add..... IS THE VERY frickING DEFINITION OF "TREASON" ACCORDING TO THE U.S. CONSTITUTION.

He intentionally incited the "rebellion" by the threat of military action against the states. He knew he was creating an environment that would lead to war and he willfully proceeded.

His face should be stricken from the currency and his monument ground to dust to be used in the construction of toilets for Krystals and Waffle Houses across the south.
