Do we have any other OL prospects

that we have a chance of signing? 4 is not enough. I know we have a transfer from Ole Miss but we are obviously very thin. We need OL and DL recruits.

There is plenty of talent on the OL. The scheme needs tweaked though. In college, you can't have a scheme that relies on playing juniors and seniors to be successful. That just isn't realistic.
As for the #'s....4 OL per class means about 20 OL on the roster. That seems more than adequate.

We only have 14 OL on scholarship right now. Losing Elvis,Meiners, and someone always leaves. So that would leave us with 16.
And we know the kind of lineman we have been recruiting are not a good fit with the type of offense we will have to change to in the SEC.

OL have to run block and pass block regardless of system. Technique that varies from system to system is taught.

There really isn't plenty of talent on the OL..
But you are right, 4 OL and that transfer is probably enough for this class. What's important too, is the ones we do have committed are good ones.

one has a knee injury out all year. Reminds me of Demien. But he was ranked higher

I'll believe that when I see it. I'm sure we thought our current scholarship players were good ones too and would have been better than a walk on.

The one we have committed from Iowa is going to come in and contribute just like Boehm did. He's a big national recruit that wants to play in the SEC.

The commits we are bringing in are good recruits. But they will still only be FR next year, which I why I wish we had hit JUCO a little this year. Even if they are coming in and starting immediately, I am skeptical about the success level of a FR OLineman coming in and starting in this conference. And yes, there are exceptions. But there is a reason that they are exceptions, not everybody can do it. Go JUCO for a year or two and let the young guys naturally progress in.

Campos will need to pack on about 30-40 lbs before he can contribute. Same can be said for Harneet Gill.
Rhodes and Abeln need to add another 20lbs before they can play. I'm sure all of these guys will redshirt next year.

Which is why I am nervous, we need rentals that can step in next year.

I would like to see Rhodes switched to defense. I like his size at DE. He has put up some good defensive numbers.

Since I last posted this we lost Jake Campos to Iowa State. So the question is asked again, do we have any other OL prospects that we can sign in this class??

Yep we really need all the depth we can get on the lines, we don't want Gary to leave the cupboards blank for when he has "retire" next season after another 4 or 5 win season and no bowl.

Except for the fact that only 6-8 have enough talent to play. The others were apparently overrated, mis-evaluated, stopped developing or weren't property coached up.
