How is saying the South Will Rise Again racist?

Was not the south destroyed after the Civil War? Did it not rise again despite the best efforts of the north? I never thought that phrase had anything to do with race. It was just an expression of pride, but I guess it is now racist.

Oh well,it seems that everyone must bow to the ignorance of the masses.

In a vacuum or in a different context, you're right.

Problem is that the chant is one of the mottos of the Klan. That ruins everything.

Well that's not how it's used by, again, the Klan or the post war Dixiecrats.

You damn well know what that REALLY means. When racist fricks were saying it when they were beating black students, spitting on black kids, during kkk rallies of course people look at the phrase as racist. Like I said to other person the Ole Miss story will be on 30 for 30 next Tues. You might hear the phrase in some of those old racist clips.
