Bama's coach was helping a high school kid actually have the grades to make it into college. There wasn't cheating. The only thing illegal was a LSU fan announcing to the world private info about a kid.

I read somewhere that the summer school program at the Pensacola school had been canceled a few years back...didn't have the money or something.
It wasn't just Paige that the Pensacola AD got pissy about. It would have been the same if Paige was a FSU or UGA commit, he'd still been vindictive about 1.) Losing his player and 2.) That player being committed to somewhere other than LSU. (But it might have been especially bad that it was Bama cause of the NOLA BCSCG)
