True Thoughts About Arkansas State

I just now flipped over to ESPN and I kinda find myself rooting for ASU. I feel they are little to no threat to us for so many reasons. However, I kinda hope they achieve the level of "Boise State of the South." It will keep very minimal pressure but good pressure on the Hogs.

I agree with your sentiment until I talk to stAte fans. They are so annoying and think they would roll us, think we are scared, etc.
Any time I hear that shite it makes me cheer for whatever shitty arse Sunbelt team may be rolling into Jonesboro that weekend

Honestly, Arkansas State is in a good position to achieve success and I don't see why they can't. The state of Kentucky produces less high school talent than we do and also has Louisville to deal with. ASU resides in a great recruiting area and could build their program and I don't have any problem with that.
It would be fun to watch an in-state school strive and achieve success while beating Big12, Pac12 or SEC teams. Frank Broyles was smart to not play in-state schools while building our program which shows what we have now.
Therefore, now that's forever gone no reason not to watch and hope ASU beat old rivals of ours like Texas A&M.

I have no qualms with State and always watch/root for them when they're on. But growing up in NWA, I've had little to no interaction with actual State fans. I hear they're terrible, like mentioned above, but I have yet to have one ruin my mood towards them yet.

I will feel sorry for any Hog fans in NEA if State beats ULM. That will make for an even longer offseason for them.

Personally i think its pretty chicken shite for ua to be worried about keeping asu down. Lots of states have two big time college football programs and neither program is hurt by the other.

Shut the frick up. We don't have enough in state talent to go around for 2 schools. We need those stars like McFadden who come around once in a while to go to Fayeteville.

I'm with you on this. I don't think their success is UA's loss. It just doesn't work that way. It only helps the culture of football in the state and gives me something to do on a Tuesday or two.
