You are absolutely right. What-ifs get us nowhere but to moral victories, but what-ifs do indicate that the teams were evenly matched. It would be unreasonable to accept the notion that LSU is vastly superior when the score was 14-12 up until halfway through the 4th quarter.

That's how LSU rolls. We don't want to be up big we want to stay close and take what is given. Les will play smashmouth football and take over in the 4th quarter. With all of this said, A&M gave us more than we wanted and I feel lucky to come away with the win.

The two best teams in the west play a similar style with OK offense and outstanding defense. If A&M insists on running the spread they will continue to lose. Defense wins in the SEC not offense. If a team can dominate in both then they will be unstoppable. A&M has a ways to go to get to the elite level that is Alabama and LSU.

A&M couldn't do shite when LSU moved to the 3 man front. A&M made no adjustments, and continued to pass the ball when LSU had 6 freaking DBs in.

LSU's offense is bad. Well, the passing game mostly. We have had trouble against everyone we've played this year, not just A&M. Only down 14-12 doesn't say much. Hell we only beat Auburn by 2. LSU wins by playing great defense, and running the ball. Our passing game is pretty much non-existent, we don't have many big plays on offense.
