I know it's human nature to give your current coach all the credit for success, but do USCe fans give Lou any credit for building the program?

I am no expert on gamecock football, but it seems to me Lou Holtz took it from putrid to respectable, and then Spurrier took it from respectable to consistently top 25.

He did good in taking us a step up from just sucking to mediocrity. The problem with Lou was that a lot of his players that he recruited were just so uninterested in SC football. They got in trouble, cheated, quit, you name it.

Hell Lou's last game he EVER coached was a benches clearing brawl. I hated it for him because I love Lou. Still do.
