To discuss someone being "overrated" there has to be some common ground on where they think the subject is rated.
I still think of Spurrier with the adoration that he got from the football world in the late 90's, and still gets in some circles in Florida and South Carolina. Compared to that scale - that he's on the level of the great names in football - I think he's overrated.

He's done the unthinkable at South Carolina. But has yet to touch the unimaginable.
As upset as I am about the past two games, if you would have told me 10, hell 5 years ago that South Carolina was a consistent Top 25 team and constantly winning even just 8-10 games I would have called you a liar and a fool.
