Lot's of lazy fans around here.. but typical.
Tamu baseball is on another level than Mizzou, their stadium is 100 times better than ours.
But, Mizzou did win the Big12 last year. Mizzou has gone to super regionals and been a decent team over the years.
You have some respectable current MLB players that went to Mizzou. They're not a 'long way' from competing, which is what people are saying on here. Plus St. Louis is a hotbed for talent, more guys may want to go to Mizzou now that it is SEC. Not many metro areas with more current MLB players than St. Louis.

Actually most of the folks who follow baseball around here are extremely knowledgeable.

The problem here is that there are 5 teams in the SEC last season that have as nice or nicer stadiums than TAMU and finished ahead of them in the attendance rankings.

No debate here. Missouri has been solid over the years but the SEC is better top to bottom than the Big 12 so it will be tougher to get wins. However on the flip side the SEC sends a lot more teams to Regionals than the Big 12 so your chances of getting in go up as well.

You won the Big 12 TOURNAMENT. Baylor won the Big 12.

It is difficult to have much respect for Mizzou baseball given what we "know" right now. I do believe it has good potential to be a very good, very competitive baseball school, but that will require getting the fans to show up along with probably $20-30 million in facilities improvements. At least you are in the east, where the baseball culture is not nearly as cut throat for the most part...
Current CWS drought is 8 years longer than Ole Miss's, taking us back to the mid 1960s.
Currently not in the top 47 in baseball attendance. All other 13 SEC schools are in the top 33. Those in last have made exciting hires, are looking at stadium improvement, etc...SEC attendance:
#1 LSU
#2 Arkansas
#3 South Carolina
#4 Ole Miss
#6 MSU(down attendance by MSU standards)
#9 Texas A&M
#11 Florida
#13 Alabama
#22 Auburn
#26 Vanderbilt
#30 Georgia
#32 Tennessee
#33 Kentucky
?? Mizzou
Got to stop allowing in-state talent to end up at Missouri State, who has been pretty competitive in baseball over the past decade.
