So you think Sabans going to suspend him for the rest of the year for one big time hit? You do realize Fanning finished out the drive, right?
Will he be suspended? Probably. Elston did for his hit. Should he? No. This is football.
Slive will suspend him, Saban will tell him not to do it again, but to keep up the intensity. He'll be playing in the MSU game.

Good lord there are some pussies in this thread. And I'm guessing all of them have never played a down of football.
What was he suppose to do? Let him go? The guy was trying to get more yards and it was natural for Fanning to pull back, and given the size of the two that's the result.
Look, this is football, it's the nature of the beast. Sometimes tackles like that happen. I wasn't around during the D Butkus years, but I've seen highlights of him and he did it all the time without catching shite.
If tackles like that are too violent for you than I suggest you follow another sport, perhaps soccer.
