There is absolutely no way that permanent, cross-division rivals are done away with. If you get rid of Alabama/Tennessee, that means you will also have to get rid of Auburn/Georgia - one of the oldest rivalries in all of college football. There is no way the latter will ever happen.

The SEC said frick tradition the day we expanded in 1992 and we REALLY said frick tradition when we expanded this year. Nobody cares outside of those 4 places.
