Yes, but please, advertise them as such. Stating your opinion doesn't make it fact. Just because you believe that Jimbo Fisher is less likely to win in the ACC after meaningless teams are added doesn't make it a logical point. It makes it the opinion you've derived from god knows where.

You can't honestly say that your flashy hire/press conference win bullshite was logical when the two coaches you mentioned as alternatives are just as flashy and just as likely to gain media attention.

Then, to wrap up your absurd paragraph about flashy hires with Derek Dooley and the Saban mold made your whole post a true tragedy.

You pursued wanting to know why people thought Jimbo would be a good hire so you can't honestly be hurt to find yourself in a position to adequately explain why he wouldn't be

That said, I'll pitch in that Jimbo wouldn't be my first choice but we could do far, far worse.

I hope you come back

This endless speculation is pointless. Until a change is made at the top and a serious house cleaning takes place in the athletic dept, nothing is going to change. The problems at AU are rooted much deeper than Gene Chizik. This image of "family" within the athletic dept is a joke. AU athletics is a hundred million dollar a year industry, not a family "mom and pop" operation. Unfortunately it feels like it's being run like one.

I have no problem with agreeing to disagree. Many of the popular candidates are just not that appealing to me. I'm more interested in someone who can provide a complete change of culture internally and externally than plugging in the hot pick. I used Franklin and Gundy as examples for their personality moreso than their coaching ability.

Nevertheless, we all want the same thing at the end of the day and which is a successful athletic department and we may just have differing opinions on how this can be achieved. No harm no foul in discussion
