This time, I'm going to start adding the following mitigating factors: home vs. road and key injuries.
Neither apply here because the key injuries almost negate each other between the two teams and Shreveport is a neutral site (don't let the Tech fans fool you, they are NOT a hostile environment).
A&M scores 44.60 points per game and allows 14.80 points per game. Louisiana Tech scores 53.2 ppg and allows 35.8 ppg.
A&M scored 17 against Florida (+5.60), 48 against SMU (+21.80), 70 against South Carolina State (+36.83), 58 against Arkansas (+23) and 30 against Ole Miss (+2.33).
That comes out to an average of 18 ppg more than their opponents allow.
A&M allowed 20 to Florida (-7.20), 3 to SMU (-19.40), 14 to South Carolina State (+0.83), 10 to Arkansas (-10.33), and 27 to Ole Miss (-4.33).
That comes out to an average of 8.1 ppg less than their opponents score.
Using those stats, A&M scores 56 points and allows 45 points.
Louisiana Tech scored 56 against Houston (+24.6), 56 against Rice (+17.4), 52 against Illinois (+23.67), 44 against Virginia (+10), and 58 against UNLV (+23)
That comes out to an average of 19.7 more than their opponents allow.
Louisiana Tech allowed 49 to Houston (+19.60), 37 to Rice (+10.17), 24 to Illinois (+2.83), 38 to Virginia (+14.33), and 31 to UNLV (+6)
That comes out to an average of 10.59 more than their opponents score.
Using those stats, Louisiana Tech scores 34 and allows 55 points.
Using those stats:
Louisiana Tech scores between 34-45
A&M scores between 55-56
Using the A&M stats and adding a +/- 5 for home/away games:
A&M 35, LSU 21
A&M 37, Auburn 13
Mississippi State 31, A&M 26
Alabama 38, A&M 20
A&M 49, SHSU 27

So...you've got us finishing 9-3 in our inaugural season as a member of the SEC. I'll take it!

Well, if you take away the pick 6 and the onside kick, I nailed La. Tech's score at 45.
