Regardless, we are lucky to have both urban areas in our Mizzou footprint. They are both equally important and the longer that legacy parochialisms segregate our fan base the worse we will be collectively in the long run.

I agree with this. Both are fine cities, but I find that many St. Louis folk portray a sort of superiority over Kansas City folk and it's just not accurate. Sure in sports terms St. Louis is the breadwinner of Missouri, but comparing city to city it's just not true. St Louis is the older, more well known and historic city. But Kansas City is younger, growing, and has many of its own great qualities such as BBQ, jazz, and suburban life, as well as a growing population vs the decline in STL. I intend no flame to STL, as it is an incredibly important and major part of my beloved home state, but I feel that many of the citizens there lack a certain perspective.

I grew up in St Louis and love Kansas City.

All the noise in between is just stupid. This state would not be as awesome as it is without either one.

Most importantly, The University of Missouri wouldn't be where it is without both these diverse urban areas.

We live in a great state with two incredible and historic metro areas. It's really time to put the angst to bed. Having some fun with one another is fine when it comes to the pro sports but when it comes to Mizzou...that shite should just disappear...forever.
