Everybody knew Mizzou would be a middle pack SEC team. Now the excitement will come for Mens BB. I'm sure they'll finish in the Top 4 in the SEC.

I'll be really disappointed if we don't. But, guess we'll have to wait and see.
I think that with Kentucky, Vandy, Florida, Tennessee, Missouri, Texas A&M, Alabama, Arkansas....we're going to have one of the strongest basketball leagues too.

Top 4 in the SEC? Try 1 or 2 when it's all said and done. I will be very disappointed if this team doesn't make a final 4. They have the talent to win it all.

And picked us 2nd in the SEC. Had Flip 1st team, Dixon 2nd team, and Oriakhi 3rd team

I didn't want to make the other SEC fans mad, that's why I said top 4.

I think top 4 is reasonable. No way would I say top 1 until someone knocks Kentucky off their perch. After that there are a handful of teams that will all be competitive for a top 4 spot.

Lol, you must be relatively young. As a Mizzou fan, you should never expect a Final Four. As you will be guaranteed a kick in the nuts.
Overall, I'm concerned about the depth of this team. Sounds a lot like last year as far as how many guys will be in the rotation. It will be interesting to see how this group gels, lots of practice time last year, and that Europe trip should help. I see no reason why they can't be #2 in the conference at a minimum. They could win it if a few things go right.
I will be at the newly renovated Pauley Pavilion in Westwood to see the game against UCLA. Pumped that they scheduled this series.

For sure. But at the same time i was a little harsh earlier. I really hope we do make a final four though, I just want to see this team grow and come together this season. I think playing a little tougher non con schedule will be helpful even if we end up losing a few

The non con away games are tougher, but would like it to balance out for some home games in the future.
It is great that Haith's main concern is getting this year's team to become cohesive and not concerns about size, depth or raw talent. There is real potential to be a Final Four contender.
Long time, loyal fan still waiting
Pleeeease SHOW ME!

I'm 50 and have seen a lot of the worst. However my cup is always half full and hope springs eternal! Go Tigers!

I like the attitude. I've just been kicked in the nuts too often.
After last March, I told myself, "Self, this is stupid. Don't do this anymore." So now, I enjoy the seasons as they develop and transform with few expectations.
It's much easier on my psyche...and my nuts.

I'm enjoying football but I can't wait for hoops to start. This year's team looks like they are going to be fun to watch again and I'm more of a basketball first fan anyway.
I'm trying to keep my expectations somewhat down since so much of this years team is "new" but it's hard to do. This could be one of our most talented rosters.

Thanks for those new links. I read the articles earlier today, but didn't have time to post new links.
We now live in Wichita area and have to suffer the consequences of enemy territory. Even though we no longer compete with the red legs, there are some that love to remind us of their BB history and make jabs at Tiger disappointments. Quite sure none will be mentioning kU #14 vs Mizzou #10 preseason ranking.
