Saban berating the media does bother me. I have said that before here. There is a video of Coach Bryant being rude to a female reporter, and it bothers me too. It may make fans feel "tough", but I don't like it.

That being said, I've never seen either of them publicly try to get a reporter fired. And Spurrier has a long history of taunting, accusing, and berating other coaches and programs. So he comes off looking really pathetic when he does this.

I have yet to read a good argument as to how Spurrier is wrong and crossing a line. He doesn't like what a columnist has been writing and feels that he is being unfairly attacked. Whether he is right or wrong is irrelevant.

Just as the newspaper is free to write opinions and publish them, Spurrier is free to stop allowing that newspaper direct access to the program until the columnist is no longer employed at said newspaper. Freedom is a two way street.

Feeling like this is a dick move by Spurrier is legitimate but I don't see how the argument that Spurrier shouldn't be allowed to do what he is doing holds any water.
