Perhaps Dorial's poor interview skills come from being a shy kid. We know he's very humble, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if he's just uncomfortable with the attention. Doesn't mean he's not smart. I seem to remember that he came in with good grades, and his parents want him to get a good college education.

My opinion is that he's just not yet ready. In HS he didn't have to worry about aggressive guys getting in his face and hitting him like he does now. It takes time to get used to that. The coaches have also said he's thinking about his routes too much, which means it's not instinctive yet. If you watch the plays he's in on, his routes are not crisp. And the fumble play he was in on last week? He had the ball in his hands but wasn't able to wrap it up and keep control of it.

He's learning. I think we'll see flashes of his ability as the year goes along, and he'll be a good receiver next year. And the people who say he'd be starting at their school, or getting involved more....they just don't know what they're talking about. They're ignorant - It's that simple.

Not to mention there's four or five other receivers on the field most plays he's in including some guys with the confidence and route running ability needed. If what you've said is true, and I'm the QB, he becomes my last resort. Especially if the line isn't giving much time to progress through all my reads.

I have noticed in his interviews as having the deer in the headlights look.

By all accounts he does well academically so I wouldn't try to see he's "dumb" or anything like that. I think he's extremely shy almost like Ricky Williams. Maybe that's why his recruitment was so secretive.
