Auburn is still the same team, they just played inspired ball at their house, in a night game, against the #2 team in the nation, with the season on the line. The defensive game plan was to take advantage of Mett's inexperience, sell out to stop the run, and force Mett to beat the defense. There were 8, 9, 10 guys in the box for Auburn all freaking night. I don't care if you're 1995 Nebraska, 9 times out of 10 you are not going to get through that many guys running straight up the middle. Auburn's offense looked as anemic as ever. They didn't pass the century mark in total yards until mid-way through the 4th quarter. And the way Auburn played toward the end, it seemed to me they were just trying to keep the game close rather than win it outright.
