You want the NCAA to have more power? What University would agree to this? I wouldn't want USC spending all that money to travel to places like Stanford, Okie State, and Wisconsin every single year for games most fans can't even go to.

So you don't like conferences? I'm so confused by all of this. I didn't read the whole thread but this idea sucks. How many rivalries are lost with this scheduling format? There just isn't a good way to make this fair. Every year schools that were good/great the year before can't have the same success so you can't really base it off of last year.

Also, Its a South Carolina state law that the bigger programs (USC & Clemson) schedule and play smaller in-state schools such as Wofford, Furman, or the Citadel each year. A lot of smaller schools get a huge check for playing in these games. They rely on that money for a lot of reasons.
