Anyone at WMS think that made any difference? Does this loss mark the beginning of the end for games in Little Rock? Or none of the above

Probably didn't make a difference, but that doesn't change the fact that Arkansas needs to quit playing there. I am grateful Alabama doesn't play in fricking Birmingham anymore.

Still the same result if Tyler Wilson gets knocked out, and Paul Petrino decides to go all Madden 07 on rookie mode.

3 hour bus ride to a "home" game is fricking retarded, but I doubt it was a reason for the shitty play.

It's kind of like a road game really, 3 hour bus ride to a place you go to a few times a year and aren't familiar with.

I could see it maybe effecting the younger players a little, I'd definitely be more comfortable playing in RRS, the place you practice often, and see every day and are familiar with, and can relax until it's time to head to the stadium compared to the long bus ride.

Probably because legion field would collapse with a stadium full of Bama fans.

That is one of many reasons. It's nice to go to a game in Tuscaloosa and not wonder if my car will be on blocks when the game is over.

It makes absolutely no difference. ULM played on the exact same field as Arkansas. That game could have been played in Junction City with the same result.

Personally, I'll be happy when 2015 comes around and I won't have a reason to go to Little Rock anymore.

Well hindsight is 20/20. We don't lose that game once if we play it another 100 times. But no I don't think the venue made a difference. We were as unprepared either way and Paul would have still fricked us over.

I thought our players looked out of shape compared to last year.

Agree with most of this EXCEPT the not losing again. IMO, ULM was hitting on all cylinders while our "D" looked and played tired. Conditioning? Mayhaps.....

I don't think we do. Assuming Wilson comes back 1st half and we are without him again in the 2nd. If you take average time of possession for each side to have the ball, we win that game. Paul let his ego beat him, plain and simple. We had a 28-7 lead with less than 2 qtrs to play. It took ULM to the last 50 secs to tie that game up. You run the ball 3 maybe 4 more times and the game is over. Paul wouldn't accept that though. If we had a 28-7 lead on any SEC team and that's what we would have done. He had to try to beat ULM by atleast 30 and it cost us the game.

Anyone remember the 2008 season when we had BP in for the first year? ULM was our 2nd game of the season and we barely beat them (28-27) in Little Rock. The other times we played them we blew them out. With that being said, in both games they played us during a transitional period where we had new coaches. Personally I think any cupcake could have beaten us the way we looked on Saturday, that and we played them (both 2008 and this year)when all the dust left behind from the off-season hadn't settled yet.

* In 2008 we went 5-7, let's hope that doesn't happen this year.

Location of the game had no effect on the outcome. Plain and simple we had a 28-7 lead on a frickin Sun Belt Team and quit. I know there were some injuries but Northeast lost their starting RB early in the game also. This team has taken on the personality of its Head Coach, all grab assy and with no discipline.

Spot frickin' on

All this BS media hype coming off last season of us being a "National Championship Contender" (and the BP scandal certainly didn't help) has our players' heads in the clouds. I think our loss to ULM is good in a way and hopefully it will make our players wake the hell up and realize they have to work for their wins and that there's still much more football to play.
