Not everyone is a decent person. Their freedom is no less protected by the Constitution of the United States. It's each person's right, as an American, to show respect how and when they choose.

Yes it is.

And it's each decent American's right to admonish an a-hole for being an a-hole (and I know our gator friend wasn't trying to be an a-hole, I'm speaking of those who purposely denigrate fallen troops).

So in the same way that we encourage folks to derail the illicit, yet legal, actions of the Westboro church, we try to encourage folks to be respectful to fallen troops by showing respect. And if you intentionally refuse to by hiding behind the right which they died to protect, well, good luck with trying to get folks to readily accept your defense.

But I'm done with this silly argument. Your points are lazy. What's important is that some folks choose to exercise restraint in their speech, which only increases the value of the right.
