The No Refunds policy makes this a profitable situation for La Tech. Now they not only get to keep the money from those who bought tickets regardless of if they can now make it but they get to sell a Saturday game in October instead of a Thursday game in the August rain to maximize ticket sales.

I hope A&M never schedules another road game in Louisiana with a school not named LSU.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012

TEXAS A&M FOOTBALL SEASON OPENER AGAINST LOUISIANA TECH POSTPONED

COLLEGE STATION

Texas A&M received word from Louisiana Tech officials that the football season opener scheduled for Thursday, Aug, 30, has been postponed until Oct. 13 due to the impending effects of Hurricane Isaac which is scheduled to make landfall along the Louisiana coast in the next 24 hours.

"I know Coach (Kevin) Sumlin and our Aggie football team were ready to play, but the safety and well-being of our Aggie fans, our student-athletes as well as the residents of Louisiana is paramount," Texas A&M Director of Athletics Eric
Hyman said.

Both Louisiana Tech and Texas A&M had the same open date of Oct. 13 on their schedules which allowed the game to be moved back. Kickoff time will be determined at a later date but fans are reminded that tickets and parking permits that have already been purchased will be honored, but there will be no refunds.

The Aggies will now open the 2012 campaign at home at Kyle Field against Florida on Saturday, Sept. 8 with kick slated for 2:30 p.m. central. The game will be televised nationally by ESPN and it will mark the Aggies' SEC opening game.
