Two is nothing if you've been following recruiting for awhile. We lost at least 4 from the '08 class (2 to MLB, 2 DNQ) and it hasn't seem to hurt us.
Not really the same. Those four never made it to campus. I've never considered guys that never step a foot on campus a loss. Not really that uncommon either, especially in the SEC.
A player leaving before his first game is very rare. Almost as rare as Grant leaving after only one RS year. These situations are certainly not the norm in CFB in the past, but it could indicate that this may be a future trend among the athletes.

i wonder how grant feels about leaving? Dee Hart hurt himself and wasn't in the rotation last year pretty soon after grant left. he might have had playing time on a championship team last year, instead he sat on the bench for the barn during his transfer year.
