What is our role?

If we had a decent coach, say Mike Leach, we could be successful. Any team can be good given the right cimcumstances.

A team that stays about 50-50 on average with highs and lows. It's better to keep a coach longer than a few years! when the administration and powerful alumni accept this it will lead to better fan support. Given if the coach is not liked outside of wining percentage you need to find one that is well liked.

I hate this line of thinking. It's doublethink. You want to criticize a team for sucking, but then suggest that they "accept their role" or, more specifically, "stop trying." It's nonsense.
