Don't kid yourself. Texas would compete for an sec west or east title almost every year

Honestly wouldn't help their recruiting, they lock down the state of Texas anyway and I don't think that Brown is good enough week in and week out to win a lot.
I would say that they would finish 3-5th best case in the West and 2nd to 4th in the East.

I love the conference pride thing, but c'mon... Texas is arguably the most powerful program in football. They wouldn't be a perennial 3rd or 4th in the SEC. The past couple seasons have been their worst in decades.
