We were also an all male school where corps involvement was mandatory and service after was pretty much guaranteed. I believe that ended in 1972 though.

This is true of LSU also, LSU was a military academy and seminary. I know the mandatory corps of cadets involvment (for your first two years) ended sometime in the late Vietnam War era, but I am not sure exactly what year.
