A&M played LSU in Baton Rouge every year until 1975, because our fan base was too small to warrant a home-and-home.

We didn't play at A&M because yall were terrible. Of schools that participated in 85% of games between 1940 to 1980 at the Division 1 level, A&M had the 79th ranked winning percentage (48.7%).

If it makes you feel any better, we didn't hold home and homes with ULL, which by the way was ranked 66th at 52%.

A large enrollment doesn't = a large fanbase and huge stadiums. Sure it helps, but you need to also be good.
