So do we know yet where the guy went after? I know he just strolled off, but is he suspected of getting in a vehicle, going into a residence, getting picked up, etc?

Nothing officially said. I'd assume he parked his car on Jack Warner Pkwy. which is at the bottom of the hill in that video walked backed to his car after and headed to either Northport or Jasper at that time.
