I absolutely would, I know that it is not the current staff or players fault, but that should not matter. The players should be granted an outright release. Someone has to be an example why not them

The NCAA has a specific role and it doesn't include criminal justice or vengeance. If PSU wants to ever move past this they should discontinue their football program entirely. The administration, faculty, alumnai, current and former players as well as the local community will all carry this stain for many years to come.

In some ways this whole situation reminds me of a couple of old guys I used to play golf with who were U of Miami grads and absolutely loathed the Hurricane football program for the reputation it gave to a prestigious school. And this is almost infinitely worse than teenagers hanging out with Luther Campbell and dating porn stars.
