This is a thread thats asks a question that cant be answered...its all opinion. Sure...UF has dropped off the past two years.....but look at LSU in 2008....everyone in the SEC was gangbanging them...I do recall a woodshed beating. There was no coaching change or other shite to blame it on. In 2007 Timmy came into your house and nearly beat that tiger azz...even though we only had 2 starters back from a loaded defense in 2006 that took tOSU behind that same woodshed.
So I am going to be real objective and say UF has had the best program since 2000...we won the SEC in 2000 and had a very very good team in 2001, but rb injuries kept us from beating UT and they deserved the win. 2002-2004 we had Ron Zook and a one year hiatus while Meyer instituted the spread offense ill suited for Chris Leak but well suited in 2006 for Tim Tebow. We went undefeated in 2009 in the regular season but our offense had lost too many play makers from '08 and we ran into a buzzsaw with Bama in the SECCG. Since then we have had one year with an absent coach and one under Boom that was a purge of deadwood. We played with 68 scholly players and here is some that left program:

Janoris Jenkins cb who would have been a 1st rounder if he had his head straight...Boom kicked him off the team

Recruit rb Blakey was allowed out of his LOI and he went to AU.

Robert Clark soph wr gone

Chris Dunkley highly recruited wr gone

Dee Finley jr LB gone

Chris Martin a r/s frosh transfer from Pac 10 and a very good LB/DE gone

Michael Macfarland TE r/s frosh gone

Javares McRoy frosh recruit wr gone to Texas Tech

Joshua Shaw bigtime soph recruit of Meyers gone

Lynden Trail rs/frosh DE transfered out

Probably one more that I missed. So, go ahead and take us lightly in 2012 and it will be a mistake imho. Ten starters return on defense, four starters on OL.

Some of you posters are probably 18 or 19 and dont really understand the power that UF had over the SEC since 1990 with only a few breaks. Well, break time is over.
