re: The SEC's 25 scholarship rule question

I don't think anyone really knows for sure because the wording in the press release was ambiguous. For example, even though the start of the signing period (for the purposes of the SEC rule) was moved to the left, there was language about mid year exemption for signees who enrolled early as long as the team signed fewer than 25 the previous year. I've seen nothing about a limit of 5 backcounters.

If I had to guess, UGA or whoever will be able to sign 30+ if they signed significantly fewer than 25 in the previous class.
