But Tennessee's inabilty to beat Alabama and Florida will remain forever.

This statement has no basis in fact. No team has beaten Alabama more than Tennessee has, so to say that this perceived inability will never change is simply not true. And even if it were true, what does this have to do with Vanderbilt?

Since Neyland was hired at Tennessee in 1926, Vanderbilt has beaten the Volunteers a total of nine times. Vanderbilt has been to 5 bowl games in its history. Tennessee has been to 49. Tennessee is set to reach and surpass 800 program wins this season. Vanderbilt is well short of 600. Tennessee has won two undisputed national championships. Vanderbilt has won none. Tennessee has won 13 SEC titles, and Vanderbilt has won none.

Based on these facts, you forecast that Vanderbilt is about to reach new heights in football while Tennessee will remain in the depths forever. The data make such a conclusion wildly improbable.
