I am. I've come to respect their complete disregard for reality in defense of their team. If the nuclear holocaust comes, there will be cockroaches, Starbucks...and HogNation remaining.

No, this was the norm before the mid/late 90's. You never pulled for a rival, even if it helped your poll ranking. This SEC! SEC! SEC! stuff is relatively new.
The unfortunate result of the disneyfication of college sports. But personally I've given up and am in kumbaya freefall.

I don't root for SEC teams because I like them. I root for them because I hate everyone else.

No, not always necessarily (at least for me). Depends on the matchup and the team.
Ex: I rooted against UGA in the Outback bowl (my username should explain why)
