UT's program went down hill after LSU, Bama and UGA became consitantly good. When UT was top 5-10 LSU sucked, UGA was coached by Goff & Donnan and Bama was up and down. UT's roster was loaded with talent from La., Ga., AL. Now that talent mostly stays home and UT has no in state talent.......never has. As long as those 3 schools are winning, expect UT to continue to suck.....sorry.

Well, though I see what you're saying, UT still has to go out of state to get players. Dooley has 12 (if I counted right) in state players in his last 3 recruiting classes. However, choices in coaches have been more of a downfall than anything, and it stems before Kiffin. Cutcliffe was more important to the success of the Vols than many outsiders realize. The offensive coordinator replacements when he was gone were pathetic. And, as you've mentioned, the addition of Saban and Meyer to the SEC certainlty didn't help either.
