I was basing it somewhat on new coaches and the QB situation.
Actually, I gave the Barn *some* credit, I really wanted to put you guys below Vandy. I think you guys are headed for another 8-5 season. JMHO.

Loeffler is an unknown right now, but VanGorder will be an instant upgrade from Roof. And our QB situation can't be any worse.

You might have a point there... but having an experienced QB in the SEC to not make mistakes is IMHO the key to success. The QB does not have to be stellar, just solid and consistent (reference McElroy and McCarron). I just don't see Auburn with that type of player yet.
And while Van Gorder is indeed an upgrade to Roof... I have never really been that impressed.

I'd go off of most pre season poll logic, Bama had the top recruiting class and gets a boost for being the National Champs of last season, they return the same number of guys as LSU, so I'd have Bama at one, but mostly because of the first two things I mentioned.
