Was his first season not good for what he had?

Decent, but still a losing record.

We had the same record as Kiffin did his first year(Im counting UNC a win because he did beat them)

LOL. We should have won but we made a hell of a lot of mistakes in the final few minutes which is par for the course for a Dooley team.

with a much harder schedule and less talent.

I agree with this, but he did have a worse record.

He has recruited great for the circumstances UT has been in

Top 15 classes will not get it done in this league.

I expect it to be a lot better if he can win ball games this year.

Could be a problem considering he has shown nothing that leads me to believe he can win games.

He lost his 4 best players

Janzen, Hunter, Bray, and who?

In a pass offense like UT's was last year, its going to be a problem.

This is why you need to be able to run the ball. Continuing to pass the ball with what we had last year is dumb as frick.

Come on now, there is no way you honestly expected UT to win more than 6 games in 2010.

Thats what happens when you have freshmen across the board playing in key positions. UT held them for the win, if it happened last year, UT wins the game.

What record were you expecting? Tennessee has pretty much been on probation. I don't care how storied the program is, you aren't going to do well in the SEC with what Dooley had his first year.

I agree, it won't get it done. That is why I said given the circumstances he has had. UT will need at least top 10 classes to succeed and I expect to get them if Dooley becomes a winning coach. He had a higher ranked recruiting class than LSU last year eventhough LSU went to the NC and UT lost 7 assistants and a lot of negative recruiting.

Thats your opinion, and you may be very right. He could be the worst coach we have ever had. As for me, I don't think its fair to judge him yet. I loved what our offense looked like before Hunter went down. We would have won 8 games if Hunter stayed healthy.

Herman Lathers. I say Lathers not from an athletic standpoint but from and experience and leadership standpoint. We had two freshmen and a converted fullback starting at linebacker last year. UT desperately needed Lathers experience and knowledge on the field last year.

How bad was our pass rush the first year? Last year it was one of the best in the SEC. I expect the same thing to happen in the run game.
