I just heard Gary Pinkel say Arkansas and Mizzou will be rivals (pics on page 3)

Im at C.C.'s, Pinkel is standing right behind me at the bar. My lady's mom introduced herself as a Hog fan and welcomed him to the Sec. He said 'We're gonna be rivals now you know.'
So I guess it's official, I'm glad because Carolina just doesn't excite me.

Not yet, we will be rivals though, mainly due to proximity and Coach Mike.

I can remember watching "40 Minutes of Hell" and the announcer said something about Mizzou and Arkansas being rivals when they showed the clip of that game in which Arkansas stomped the shite out of Mizzou.
ETA: I believe that game was in 1989 or 1990, I might be wrong.

Why not? Close by, battle for recruits, they have decent tradition. It seems like it has a lot of the elements needed to be a good game...
