FSU and Clemson jump on board once the ACC decides to pick up two more basketball schools from the Big East.

Why would Auburn, UGA, USC, UF, Alabama, and UT allow those schools into the conference? Obviously UF and USC wouldn't want Clemson and FSU, but they are also in the direct recruiting footprint of all the other schools as well.

UF sponsored FSU's application for decades before we decided to let them in. Bowden proceeds to decide he doesn't want to play Alabama and Auburn every year, and they go off to the ACC. ETA: And you can thank him for that, because that's what got y'all in in the first place. :truestory:

UF and FSU should actively want FSU and CU in, because it keeps them from cakewalking into BCS (or whatever it will be now) games and using it as a recruiting advantage.

"Would you rather win 8-9 games a year under Muschamp at UF or come here, to Tallahasee, and compete for championships?"
