Used to drink Jim Beam black label in my younger days. Now go with Knob Creek. That, my friends, is damn good on the rocks.

Anyone that says "JD is bourbon" is an idiot. Describe the shite out of it all you want - it's never going to be bourbon. Anyone that knows anything about booze knows this simple fact. I like JD. Gentlemen Jack is a nice treat after a long day for sure but it will never be bourbon.
To those of you who like Woodford (which is actually what's in my decanter right now) or similar bourbons in that price range (like Makers and such) - I strongly recommend you try the bourbon that I posted up earlier = Basil Haydens. You will not be disappointed

Knob Creek is indeed tasty. Blanton's is orgasmic.
