Speaking of this game... Rusty at gatortailgating.com did a chamber of commerce write up for CS that I helped him with. Their group is going to be setting up with our group at Reed Arena.

In all fairness, UF hired a guy known for yelling "Boom MFer" and spontaneous bleeding

Yeah, but it's a lot cooler than slapping yourself.

I'm guessing you haven't been there?
The metro area is Bryan/College Station. There's no physical border or gap between the two towns; they run together. There is, however, a massive socioeconomic difference.
College Station is lilly-white with the exception of a few blocks in the State Streets. It's all professors, college students, affluent families connected to the companies set up to take advantage of the increadible amount of research money that flows through A&M, and retirees. If there's an influx of anyone, it's empty-nesters and retirees moving to the ranchette and golf-course communities.
Bryan is majority minority.
I don't know if any refugees went to Bryan, but they didn't end up in College Station; there's really no home for them there. When I was a student at A&M I lived in a house with one other guy and we never even locked our door. I wouldn't say there's no crime, there's crime everywhere, but College Station is as low-crime as it gets. The police department there is way, way, over-funded and over-staffed and the people are extremely vanilla.
My dad grew up in Bryan--went to the high school and everything, before graduating and attending A&M. Most of my extended family on his side still lives in Bryan. My immediate family lives in College Station. Difference is night and day on the socioeconomic front, but the attitude of the people in both communities is pretty chill, for the most part. More crime in Bryan, of course, but not all hardcore, stereotypical ghetto

I'm looking to make the trip. What's the best way to get tickets for an A&M game?
Find someone desperate on Craigslist. Tickets are on the open market and are getting expensive.
