Auburn, meanwhile, has as many draft picks since 2009 as Tennessee and Ole Miss and fewer than South Carolina. Auburn dominated Alabama 19-12 on the draft-pick scoreboard from 2005 to 2008, but Alabama leads 16-9 over the past three years.

That gap grows next week, by which point Alabama could have more first-round picks in the past four years than Auburn's total picks over that period.

Meanwhile, AU players who have been drafted have excelled and have make All-Pro. I wonder if Soloman will ever write a story about those drafted and how they did once they made it to the big leagues. Maybe Bama is the AAA of College Football, a place where players peak and make it to the big show, but never really produce later.

As a Bama fan, I am happy with this.

I do believe Saban is able to get the most out of guys , and motivate some who would otherwise not get drafted or drafted high.

Let's re-visit AU's last few first rounders and use your logic of what a first rounder should be.

Logic:
quote:

So being pretty good and solid is worth a first round draft pick. I would agree if you were drafting based on Raiders Standards.

Ronnie Brown (First rounder, 1 Pro Bowl, 4.2 per carry. 37 TDS) BUST

Cadillac Williams (First rounder, 3.8 yds per carry, only 20 TDs in his career, Not even in the NFL anymore? I know short lifetime for RBs) BUST

Ben Grubbs (First Rounder, been very solid but only 1 Pro Bowl)

Jason Campbell (First Rounder, been on what 3 teams?..Raiders, Redskins, Bears) BUST

Cam Newton, (#1 overall, Has been a BEAST, no one can argue this)

Nick Fairly (stayed hurt only had 15 tackles, 1 Sack in his rookie year, Dareus blew him out of the water last year. Will it keep up. I'm not sure, no one knows.) BUST

Carlos Rogers (2nd All Pro, 1 Pro Bowl, 6 Years after being in the NFL) BUST

Yea, you're right dude. AU produces much of a better first rounder prospect than 'Bama. I'm not even saying 'Bama's first rounders are going to be studs. I'm just pointing out that you're full of shite.

The NFL is a gamble. For every, good player a school produces I can name you 2 bad ones. That is for everyone. Plus, right now....'Bama is just now getting back in the NFL. Because of our probation, scholarship numbers, and overall talent that we had in the past.

They guys we are producing now has been better than the last 10 years.
