How can the University keep him and not set a terrible precedent that'll bite them in the butt every time an employee violates their contract or employment regulations? I really think the personnel issue takes it out of the AD's hands. I don't see how they can make an exception for him and have any credibility on employment matters for state employees going forward.

They'll keep him. He makes the university way too much $$$ to can him over this. Any lawsuit liability is negligible compared to the revenue generated.

What can get him fired is one of two things. First, if more Hog fans get pissed off about this. I'm borderline pissed, still processing the information. Second, if Long finds more damaging information that Petrino doesn't confess.

What a freaking stupid situation. I may very well be back to cheering my school while despising the coach.

This kind of reminds me of the Terry Bowden-Bobby Lowder's daughter alledged scandal.

You're one of the few not viewing this from a private sector angle. This is state government, which takes this to a completely different level.
