Not statewide, but overall:
The University of Texas -- 450,000 living alumni
Texas A&M -- 330,000 living alumni

I'm sure you could draw your own conclusions from that data but I would imagine that Texas has more out of state alumni than A&M does. Probably by a wide margin also.

UTa has more alumni from A&M being a smaller university pre-1980's but both are about the same size now with A&M having more undergrads and UTa having more grad students.
I don't know what the split of alumni is in Texas but Ags are a lot more visible in the workplace.
