He had a better job lined up in the NBDL.
Mizzou is a stepping stone school.

I'd take Quinn Snyder at Mississippi State in a heartbeat if our job opened up or Stans retired.

looking at his record the first few years he started off pretty damn good but he tailed off the last few.
never an outstanding regular season but 4 ncaa trips and 2 nits

Positives: great recruiter
Negatives: terrible x and o guy, coke addict, has "relations" with players girlfriends, breaks ncaa rules

we do need better recruiting, i see nothing wrong with him doing coke.
brady showed with enough talent x and o's wont matter and it can run to the final four.
also looks like it was only minor rules so im not that worried about ncaa.
Im not sure quin would be the top of my list but he has to be better than mr. muppet

loved yall's team with paulding, rush, gilbert

Those were the most disappointing teams I've followed in any sport... Ever.

He looked like a coked out Henry Hill from Goodfellas during games

Me too.
Dont know if you're trolling but Snyder started out great as the golden child and then augered into the ground ala the Henry Hill analogy above. Lots of better game day coching minds out there who are up and comers and just as good recruiting, so I would def pass on Quinny

I think he's an excellent candidate, if he has defeated his demons.
I doubt the Lakers would tolerate that, so I assume he has.

Is Snyder still around Columbia and are he and Pinkel still good drinking buddies?

snyder
gregg marshall
randy bennett
kermit davis
mike brey
only reason i include brey is because he was interested last time around.
list is incomplete at the moment. marshall seems like the safest hire. i've liked bennett for a while but he's a west coast guy like trent. kermit obviously is a former brady assistant but i don't think that should prevent him from being a serious candidate.
eta- donnie tyndall should also be considered.

pretty solid list. I agree marshall seems the safest hire.
is smart off because you think no shot at him or not enough done by him?
I know it was one tourny run but i really liked the energy i saw from him. I think we need a high energy guy at LSU.
