9 is "virtually identical" to 6?

12-0 is "virtually identical" to 11-1?

undefeated is "virtually identical" to having 1 loss?

confused poster is full of confusion

I will agree that LSU had the better regular season stats. The only problem is that there are no trophies for regular seasons (unless you count the SEC trophy). I would put the SEC Trophy as the second best trophy to win during a season, too.

And in the record books and from this time forward and according to the BCS rules, the record will include the bowl games. And LSU lost in the most important game of the 2011 season, the bowl game.

No I know. But November opinions don't mean shat in February!

Are you saying that between the regular season end and the post season LSU regressed while Bama made huge improvements?

I believe Bama was the better team during the season. In the 1st LSU/Bama game, Bama made a ton of mistakes which allowed LSU to come away with the win.

The National title game supports this belief.
