How well did Blackwell play this season before this game. To say he didn't have a good game was an understatement.

Pretty much the entire OL didn't show up for the NCG. Blackwell was an all-american.

Hurst was by far the worst though, 2 false starts and a missed assignment leading to an unblocked Upshaw for a sack.

Yeah, Hurst was shite as well, but I don't know if he played worse than Blackwell, our backup undersized NG beat Blackwell numerous times for some big plays. I know he beat Blackwell once for a sack, and once for a TFL on third and short.

Damn, is that a stat you want in a head coach?

It was the refs fault.

You must not have heard. The refs were screwing Blackwell all game. Worst officiated game of his life.

Would you prefer 18 4th Q/OT losses?

I would personally prefer not to be behind 18 times in the 4th quarter in 7 seasons.

Blackwell has already gathered a lot of hardware for his season.

He has been named a first team All-American by The Sporting News, ESPN.com, FoxSports.com and Rivals.com.

The Associated Press, CBSsports.com and Sports Illustrated.com named him a second team All-American.

Blackwell made first team All-SEC, according to both the Associated Press and the league coaches.

Uh, yeah? Why not? You don't want a coach who can win in the clutch?

Blackwell was A.A. by ESPN, Rivals, FSN and SN (1st team); AP, CBSsports and SI (2nd team)

Of course, it just seems like a lot of being behind in 7 seasons.

I'm sure Saban has had to comeback a decent amount of times in the 4th quarter or in OT as well. Obviously it's a great stat when your coach can win a lot of games in the clutch.

18 times in 7 seasons? That's like 2.5 times a year. Not much at all for 13-14 games a year. And those were wins, winning = winning.

I don't know Saban's #, but I do know that Shula never won a game in his entire UA coaching career that had the other team with a lead in the 4th.

It just seems like a stat that is for a NFL QB, but is obviously better than losing them.

He has played well for us this season until the title game. There is a reason why we averaged about 200 rushing yds per game and didn't give up a whole lot of sacks.

Your attempt to flame in this thread has only shown your ignorance.

Yea, I don't see a reason to flame 2 weeks later. Alabama trash will just never be satisfied, which I find hilarious.
