ESPN:

Harvey Updyke, the Alabama fan who is accused of poisoning the famous oak trees at Toomer's Corner at Auburn University, turned down a plea offer from prosecutors that would have required him to spend 13 years in prison and never attend a Crimson Tide sporting event for the rest of his life, a source close to the case told ESPN.com on Friday.

OANOW:

The attorney for Harvey Updyke Jr., the man accused of poisoning the Toomer’s Oaks, says his client continues to prepare for trial, adding prosecutors have not offered any deals recently.

Wess’ comments came hours after an ESPN article citing anonymous sources reported Updyke had turned down a deal from the district attorney earlier this month that included a 13-year prison sentence and a lifetime ban from attending University of Alabama sporting events.

I think updyke should be sentence to have to stand at toomers corner like a tree after every Auburn home win and be rolled. Thus the tradition doesnt miss a beat. Could call it Updykes corner. Fans could chant "Roll Harvey Roll". Would be a family friendly event.
